# Sample balance sheets

Use these with **in-chat upload** (📎 on http://localhost:8000) or the PDF Calculator at http://localhost:8000/pdf

| `balance_sheet_acme_2023.pdf` | Balanced debit/credit sheet (should validate & calculate) |
| `balance_sheet_northwind_q3_2023.pdf` | Larger balanced Q3 sheet |
| `balance_sheet_unbalanced_demo.pdf` | Intentionally unbalanced — tests validation warnings |
| `balance_sheet_amount_only.pdf` | Amount-column format (no debit/credit) |
| `PDF_UPLOAD_TEST.md` | Full test plan, expected numbers, sample questions, analysis sheet |

## How to test (chat — preferred)

1. Start the API: `uvicorn app.main:app --host 0.0.0.0 --port 8000`
2. Open http://localhost:8000 → **📎** → upload a sample PDF
3. Ask follow-ups from `PDF_UPLOAD_TEST.md`

## How to test (PDF Calc page)

1. Open http://localhost:8000/pdf
2. Upload one of these PDFs
3. Confirm amounts if prompted, then click **Calculate**

Expected:
- Acme / Northwind → extract rows, validation OK (or confirm), totals available
- Unbalanced demo → validation should flag debit/credit mismatch
- Amount-only → totals from Amount column
